
The Fifties was the decade of rebuilding and of new design. A new generation of designers and architects designed a large, unique wallpaper collection in the Fifties.
"Night of the Skylarks" is possibly the most famous of all wallpaper designs in Finland. In the wallpaper, one can find all the bells, skylarks and violets that became the trademark of Kaipiainen.
Violets found their way to the wallpaper on black background already in 1957, only later to ceramic artwork "Sea of Violets" and "Paratiisi" Kitchenware by Arabia.
